High Run Sports Club in Edmonton

Awesome bar, it would be a good place to throw a large party. Hourly pool tables in abundance. Small dining area with extra large TVS for sports and such what, bathrooms are near there so you don't have to wander through the pool tables. There are 2 bars. One I'd ag the the front by the pool tables with the main bar closer to the dining area. Staff was helpful and attentive, wings were alright. Not super important but all the pool sticks were the same length.

Lots of pool tables. Never have to wait. Not the best tables around. Surprisingly good menu. Good service and good food.

I’ve been here a few times now. The place is quite spacious and the overall service is okay. I tried their burger recently and it was decent - a bit more gamy than expected

A great place to go with friends & family, nice atmosphere and pretty clean for a pool hall / bar. The washrooms are okay for their cleanliness, i guess you cant expect the best from a bars washroom.The service can slow down when the building becomes more full , same with the cleanliness. However the staff is almost always friendly and approachable.The food is not bad and their drinks are good.Four stars out of five for this place, this place is just within arms reach of five out of five.Edit:Prices are fair as well.

Great place! Just recently learned minors are welcome before 5 so my whole family loves going there to play pool. Food is pretty good to. Especially of you enjoy good bar food.

I have been coming to the High Run for years. I have never once been disappointed by the food and the relaxed atmosphere.

It was alright. Went there for a Christmas party. The table (thank goodness there was no food yet) but the duct tape gave out and the table fell. Food was average. Drinks weren't bad.

It has lots of healing energy and big hugs. 10 out of 10!

Didn't have anything there. Nice place. Lots of pool tables. Pleasant for a week night. Not loud at all. Weekends I think would be different.

Pool tournament tonight, seemed to grab a pool table about 815 which wasn't to bad! Met for a birthday party, service on drinks was on point! Cleaning up of the previous diners would have been appreciated, cleanliness all around wasn't to bad. Nice atmosphere, hot food, and decent parking.

cozy old school.tables are 4.5 x 9 and couple 6x12 snooker.

25 years wow. Great place to hang out with your buddies. Staff is excellent as always. Food and beverages spot on..

Wonderful service but the food was really blah

I never actually knew this place excited until one of my friend’s that lives near Capilano had told me about it. We had visited this on a Friday and it was decently busy but what surprised me was how great the atmosphere here was. Extremely fast and friendly service, great prices, and great beer. I will definitely be coming here more often even though I live on the far north side. 100% recommend for anyone looking to shoot some pool.

Great pool tables, one of the best in the city. Service left a little to be desired, but I think that was due to the lack of staff as opposed to the serving staff themselves. Food was ok, nothing special but edible, reasonably priced

We have been going to the highrun for many many years. Low key nice pool tables decent food. Till our last visit, menu totaly changed nothing overly great on it. So we thought natchos are safe, $24 dollars for a plate the wouldn't fill a 8yr old, greasy and hardly any toppings. When we talked to the waitress she was very rude and just blamed it on new management. A friend we were with ordered a hamburger and lemon water, couldnt get a burger cause they were out of buns and no lemon in the water because they only had 3 lemon slices left and she needs them for real drinks. Seriously disappointed in the service and food. We will not be going back there, on the hunt for a new spot to play pool and have a good night out.

Good service, a little dated and tables need new felt but over all a good place to watch sports and play some pool.

The place was packed tonight but the staff were great and very attentive. It was fun. Great atmosphere!

They were out if a lot of drinks I like. They just need to keep better stock

Was here for over 3 hours, and saw the waitress maybe three times, she always stayed at least half a pool table away. I tried to let her know my pop was flat, but she seemed to be in quite a rush (the place was dead) and walked away while I was still trying to talk to her. When I tried to let her know at the end of the night, as I didn't think I should pay for something I couldn't drink, she made me very aware that it was my own problem and that there was absolutely no way her manager would allow her to take it off my bill (not that she bothered to ask).

It is a good relaxing place. Good atmosphere. It has been around for a long time. I believe it is a locally owned. So I would say support this gem. Food is good as well. It also has darts and a lounge area. Good music.

A LOT of pool tables. Great place to play a few games. You may want to call first though to ensure it's not too busy with a tournament going on.

Great place to get some drinks, food, and play some pool. Usually pretty clean. It’s pretty big and so it does t get overly crowded. Tons of seating. Average pricing. Friendly staff.

Amazing place. Over a decade and a half since first visit and still coming back. Between great pool, superb pub fare and lovely staff how can you go wrong?

The service is good to acceptable, the food is alright, and it's not too noisy for the usual pub-goer. Plus it's the only pool hall in town with snooker tables south of the river, so that's good for those on the same side who don't feel like fighting downtown traffic for some snooker

This place has really gone down hill unfortunately. The staff was nice but the food was an absolute embarrassment. I don't understand how they plan to survive let alone thrive serving food like that. Fargos or BP's will be our new go to place for Oil games. It's too bad, we used to like highrun and kept giving it a chance, but we have had enough.

Always like the tight po keys to improve my game.

Our hostess was good to us. We were a group of 14 (couples) and we ate, had drinks and played several games of pool. Great time had by all. Sports on the TV's all over the place. And a solo musician jamming away on his guitar playing rock tunes. Prices are very reasonable.We highly recommend checking it out.

Great atmosphere, nice pool tables and a solid choice of classic music. If you like billiards and having a few drinks with friends I recommend it!

Always good to visit. But it hasn't changed in 15 years....good food but service still isnt the best

Highrun has been a staple of the Capilano area forever. Been going there for almost 20+ year's. Pub atmosphere, great pool, dartboards in definite need of an upgrade. Food and beer selection are always good.

If I could give less then a star I would. Had been there a couple of times before but this time the waiter took my friends id and said it's not good enough for some reason, even though we had been there before. After that she decided to never ask for drinks. She always walked by our table trying to ignore us. Had to be the worst customer service I have evers in my life. Never going back !!!!

This place had gone as far downhill as you can possibly go. Replace your disgusting ceiling tiles and get some edible food. I go there to have only drinks now as I don't dare eat there anymore

A $14 steak usually is iffy but this was very good. Great place to place pool, food is good and the service friendly. A very nice neighbourhood pub. Lots of TV's for the sports fans.

Great spot. Food was great! Decor could use a bit of a lift but over all great spot for a night out.

Had their signature beef dip. Yummy and good portion. Pool tables to have fun.

Really cool and huge place, tons of pool tables and the food is great. I had the pulled pork sliders which were delicious and they're fries are also pretty tasty. Definitely will be back for more!

Awesome service and food

I came to this place based on reviews talking about how it's the best place but it seems to be pretty run down and the carpet is disgusting in there. The service was kind of rude an insistent that we how to show our IDs even though the youngest person was 40 years old and the oldest was 55. The server and Isis what we wanted from halfway across the whole place by yelling which we found very unpleasant also. My first and last time there

Great place for pool, meeting with friends ( you can actually talk without loud music blasting) and of course food/ drinks.

Great place to go to play pool but mediocre service & food/beverages. With lots of pool tables you usually never have to worry about getting a table when you walk in. The tables are in good condition, the cues are as you might expect. Service is a bit spotty with servers run off their feet or nowhere to be seen. Fares are above average but you might find the beer a little flat.
